Connect with others who have loved ones suffering from addiction
24 Hour Crisis Line: 855-5CRISIS (855-527-4747)
If you know someone who is in distress because of substance abuse or acute psychiatric symptoms, the Phoenix Counseling Center is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This is important because during a crisis, a person is often willing to go get help, but if help is not available right then, they may change their mind later, believing they can do it on their own. Having a resource available in the moment of crisis makes all the difference.

This organization provides a single connection point to help those in crisis situations, including addiction. The Gateway extends a hand-up and not just a hand-out to anyone in need. Individuals can refer themselves or others in need in a confidential and dignified manner using an online portal.
NC 2-1-1 is an information and referral service of the United Way of North Carolina. Dial 211 on your phone and a trained specialist will find the resources you need in your community, including information on program eligibility, intake, program hours, and making appointments. NC 2-1-1 is a free and confidential service.
